We’re celebrating our 55th season by bringing the most famous musical of all time to our stage- The Wizard of Oz!
Follow the yellow brick road and the adventures of Dorothy Gale, Scarecrow, Tinman, Lion and all the other beloved characters as they battle the Wicked Witch of the West in a quest to get Dorothy home to Kansas.
There’s no place like home- and we’re ready to show you our twist on this classic story!
This stage adaptation by the Royal Shakespeare Company closely follows the 1939 MGM film, featuring all the beloved songs like “Over the Rainbow,” “If I Only Had a Brain,” and “We’re Off to See the Wizard.” It combines iconic visuals with expanded character depth, perfect for performers who can balance charm, heart, and classic musical theater style.
Characters:
- Dorothy Gale – A hopeful and courageous young girl from Kansas. Strong singer and actor; must carry the show with sincerity, innocence, and emotional honesty.
- Scarecrow (Hunk) – Energetic, flexible, and endearing. Needs strong physicality and comedic timing. Sings “If I Only Had a Brain.”
