This whimsical musical follows Alice in her adventures through Wonderland where things become “curiouser and curiouser.” With a contemporary, upbeat score and a message with a lot of HEART (see what I did there?) this St. Louis regional premiere will be a hit for the young and the young at HEART. (I did it again!)
Auditions will be held January 3 from 1-5pm, with callbacks (as necessary) Sunday January 4 from 1-5 pm at the First United Methodist Church from 1-5 pm 207 W Church St, Collinsville, IL 62234. Performances will be held at the Nazarene Community Theater 400 N Central, Roxana, IL 62084.
If you are interested in playing ALICE, please prepare up to 32 bars of a song that showcases an emotional broadway belt. For all other roles, please prepare a song that showcases BROAD, Over-the-top comedy and character acting. (This is Wonderland, after all!) You may bring recorded accompaniment or sing a cappella. An accompanist will NOT be provided. We will also have cold readings. Come dressed to dance. (though not everyone will be asked to do so.)
The planned casting is for 11 people with strong character acting abilities:

- Schoolteacher/Queen of Hearts

- *Schoolkid/Card Guard (3 of Clubs)
- *SchoolKid/King of Hearts
*denotes featured dancers. The show includes a “megamix” finale and will require strong dance abilities. A strong preference for casting will be for performers aged 16+
We will rehearse in Collinsville beginning January 11th, 2026 on Sundays 1-5pm, and Tuesdays/Thursdays from 6:30-9:30pm. If necessary, extra rehearsals on Mondays may be called in March. Every rehearsal in March is MANDATORY.
Due to the nature of the show as a small cast production, it is imperative that all cast members have limited conflicts during the rehearsal process, regardless of role. Please do not audition if you are involved in another production during this time period, or if you have significant conflicts with this schedule.
