About the Show:
Set in 1930s New York City during the Great Depression, Annie tells the story of a spirited young orphan who captures the heart of billionaire Oliver Warbucks. With iconic songs like “Tomorrow,” “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” and “Maybe,” this timeless musical is filled with hope, heart, and a whole lot of charm.
Youth Roles:
- Annie (10–13): A brave, optimistic orphan with a big voice and bigger heart
- The Orphans (Ages 7–13): A group of spirited girls; strong singers and movers (includes Molly, Pepper, Duffy, July, Tessie, Kate)
Adult Roles:
- Oliver Warbucks (40s–60s): Powerful and stern at first, but warm-hearted underneath
- Miss Hannigan (30s–60s): The comically bitter, booze-soaked orphanage matron
- Grace Farrell (20s–40s): Warbucks’ loyal and intelligent assistant
- Rooster Hannigan (30s–50s): Miss Hannigan’s scheming brother; slick and energetic
- Lily St. Regis (20s–40s): Rooster’s not-too-bright partner in crime
- President Roosevelt, Drake, Bundles, Mrs. Pugh, Bert Healy, Boylan Sisters, and other supporting roles
Ensemble:
Servants, Hooverville residents, NYC citizens, and more. Performers of all backgrounds encouraged to audition.
